The Fallout Index™

Post-Order Stability Diagnostic

Purpose Statement

Resolution isn't the end — it's the start of rebuilding stability. The Fallout Index™ helps you identify what's slipping after mediation, court orders, or major separation events. By tracking early signs of drift, resentment, or system fatigue, this tool prevents small cracks from turning into collapse.

To assess post-resolution stability across five domains — Emotional Recovery, Co-Parenting, Financial Follow-Through, Communication Governance, and Life Direction — and guide re-containment before harm or escalation.

How It Works

Five Domains of Post-Resolution Stability:

  • 🟠 A — Emotional Recovery & Self-Regulation
  • 🟢 B — Co-Parenting and Relational Dynamics
  • 🟡 C — Financial Implementation
  • 🔵 D — Communication and Governance
  • 🟤 E — Life Direction and Identity

Scale: 1 = Unstable  ·  2 = Fragile  ·  3 = Emerging  ·  4 = Steady  ·  5 = Integrated

Cycle: Quarterly review — check-in every 90 days.  |  Duration: 10–15 minutes.

"Fallout" doesn't mean failure — it simply means friction. Each question helps you locate where stability is holding and where renewal is needed. Take one slow breath before you begin.

✅ You can complete this at your own pace — clarity is not time-sensitive.

Section A — Emotional Recovery and Self-Regulation
Focus: Calm · Resilience · Post-Conflict Integration
Containment Cue

After conflict ends, the body often continues the fight. This section helps you see how well your emotional system has recovered from high-stress processes like mediation or court.

1 = Unstable  ·  2 = Fragile  ·  3 = Emerging  ·  4 = Steady  ·  5 = Integrated
Reflection Pause

Notice which emotions still carry charge. Integration is about noticing, not judging.

Optional Reflection Note: If something stood out while reflecting on how you feel after conflict, note it here. These comments stay private and help track patterns of repair. (Max 300 characters)

Section B — Co-Parenting and Relational Dynamics
Focus: Boundaries · Communication · Trust · Children's Emotional Safety
Containment Cue

When orders or agreements begin, new routines often test old wounds. This section helps you notice whether communication and boundaries with the other parent feel workable, predictable, and safe for the children involved. It's not about blame — it's about stability.

You can always refine communication habits — containment grows with practice.

1 = Unstable  ·  2 = Fragile  ·  3 = Emerging  ·  4 = Steady  ·  5 = Integrated
Reflection Pause

Take a breath before you move on. Co-parenting stability doesn't mean perfect agreement — it means predictable care and respectful boundaries for everyone involved.

Optional Reflection Note: If something felt clear or uncomfortable while answering, write it here. (Max 300 characters)

0/300
Section C — Financial Implementation and Follow-Through
Focus: Practical Stability · Financial Accountability · Long-Term Security
Containment Cue

Even after formal agreements are signed, the emotional charge around money often remains. This section helps you track whether financial responsibilities are being met calmly and predictably, without re-creating earlier conflict. Clarity and follow-through protect everyone's wellbeing.

1 = Unstable  ·  2 = Fragile  ·  3 = Emerging  ·  4 = Steady  ·  5 = Integrated
Reflection Pause

Take a slow breath before continuing. Financial follow-through is not about perfection — it's about consistency and transparency. Calm systems replace emotional arguments.

Optional Reflection Note: If a question highlighted stress or uncertainty, note it here. (Max 300 characters)

0/300
Section D — Communication and Governance Systems
Focus: Structure · Tone · Predictability · Transparency
Containment Cue

When conflict cools, communication patterns often regress. Governance systems — shared calendars, written updates, professional intermediaries — keep small frustrations from becoming legal or emotional flare-ups. This section checks whether your current systems protect clarity and reduce unnecessary contact.

1 = Unstable  ·  2 = Fragile  ·  3 = Emerging  ·  4 = Steady  ·  5 = Integrated
Reflection Pause

Pause here and notice how your body feels after reading these questions. Predictable systems calm the nervous system; they stop uncertainty from becoming anxiety.

Optional Reflection Note: If a question stirred emotion or hope, note it here. (Max 300 characters)

0/300
Section E — Life Direction and Identity Renewal
Focus: Purpose · Routine · Self-Trust · Future Integration
Containment Cue

After major conflict ends, identity often feels hollow. This section helps you see whether new rhythms, roles, and purpose are forming — not as replacements for the past, but as the foundation of a calmer, more congruent future.

1 = Unstable  ·  2 = Fragile  ·  3 = Emerging  ·  4 = Steady  ·  5 = Integrated
Reflection Pause

Take a deep breath. Recovery doesn't erase the story — it changes how the story lives in you. Notice whether your focus now feels more forward-looking than defensive.

Optional Reflection Note: If any question stirred emotion or hope, note it here. (Max 300 characters)

Section F — Integration & Summary
Focus: Stability Snapshot · Referral Mapping · Forward Direction
Containment Cue

You've now reflected across every area of post-order life — emotional, relational, financial, procedural, and personal. Integration isn't about perfection or compliance. It's about noticing where your system is building steady and where it needs gentle repair.

Score Band Meaning
🟢 80%+ · Integrated
Systems aligned. Minor review only. Maintain routines and governance rhythm.
🟡 60–79% · Emerging Barriers
Areas of drift detected. Targeted repair within 4 weeks.
🔴 <60% · Containment Required
High instability detected. Pause new commitments and seek support before escalation.

The system generates a Stability Report summarising each domain's rating, key risks, and suggested supports. You can keep it private or forward it to your professional team.

Final Reflection

Take a final breath. You've just created a snapshot of your real stability — not how it looks to others, but how it feels and functions day-to-day. Awareness itself is progress.

Optional Reflection Note: Capture any patterns you noticed — areas that felt strong, or sections that brought emotion. (Max 300 characters)
